Small number of the positions are available starting at September 2019 (Fall semester).
We welcome students who will conduct achievable and practical research on operation, and control.
Research area :
Power system planning, operation, and control
- The device modeling based on Power Electronics (HVDC/FACTS/DER/ESS/EV)
- Modeling, impact assessment, control study including devices mentioned above
- Planning and operational studies based on mathematical or statistical methodologies
Research collaboration with :
Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, Korea Western Power Co., Ltd., Hyosung Industrial, LSIS, etc.
Prerequisite subjects for MS are
1. Power System
2. Power Electronics
3. Control Theory
4. Programming (python/matlab/etc)
Related subjects (Not mandatory) are
1. Power System Stability
2. Electric Machinery
3. Power Electronics Design and Practice
4. Probability and Statistics
